How Auto Renu Was Born — East Bay, 2009
Auto Renu Auto Glass LLC was founded in 2009 in the East Bay of Northern California with a straightforward idea: why should a driver have to take half a day off work to sit in a glass shop waiting room? The founder recognized that the overwhelming majority of auto glass jobs — windshield replacements, chip repairs, side window swaps — can be completed in under 90 minutes at any flat surface. Mobile service was the answer, and Auto Renu was built from day one as a 100% mobile operation.
The company launched in Contra Costa County, initially serving Walnut Creek, Concord, and Oakley. Demand grew quickly through word-of-mouth referrals — East Bay residents who had experienced the convenience of having a certified technician show up at their driveway or office parking lot told their neighbors. By 2012, Auto Renu had expanded service to cover all 27 cities it serves today across Contra Costa and Alameda counties.
In October 2017, the Better Business Bureau awarded Auto Renu its BBB Accreditation with an A+ rating — a recognition of the company's consistent ethical business practices, transparent pricing, and zero unresolved complaints record. Auto Renu has maintained its A+ BBB rating continuously since that accreditation.
Today, Auto Renu operates from its registered business address at 1990 N. California Blvd, Suite 20 PMB #033, Walnut Creek, CA 94596, and dispatches technicians daily across the East Bay. All technicians are certified by the National Glass Association (NGA), trained in ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) camera and sensor recalibration, and hold California contractor's license coverage for auto glass installation.
